2014 is coming to a end

I so can not believe that this year is almost over with already. At times it seems like just yesterday that it just begun. 2014 has been a good year. We didnt get to do all that we had hope we would be able to do this year. Like get started on the adoption process and renew our wedding vows. But it was still a good year. We did go on a couple of road trips thru out the year. One to the smokey mountains (maybe we will get to do that again in 2015), to Helen GA for our anniversary. That was a fun trip. We also went down to Fort Morgan right before Christmas and that was fun. Getting to go to the beach and spending time with family.  Had a couple of worries with my health during the summer (the doctor’s fault lol ) but glad it was all good. Like they thought something was wrong with my heart and then my liver but things is all good. Mike got promoted to manager and we got to buy a house and adopt some puppies and now we adopted a kitty but wont get to bring it home until friday which will be the new year lol.
I just could keep going on and on lol
Oh  yeah we found out that we are going to be great aunt and great uncle again to a little niece (which she will be here next year but we did found out this year lol )
2014 was a good year and 2015 is going to be a very very good year

Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays)

Merry Christmas ( Happy Holidays) I hope everyone has had a wonderful day how every you celebrate this day. (I know everyone celebrate it different). I was sitting here last night tracking Santa and I had seen where he came to Alabama but he didnt stop at my house, I guess I was a naughty girl this year. But that is okay I have Mike to be my santa lol. Mike me a guitar and a guitar for dummies and accessories for the guiter, a knitting loom, a hat to wear when I run, a Auburn hoodie and a form roller ( and plus some candy lol ) for Christmas. Yes learning to play the guitar has been on my bucket list. I hope that I got the musical gene that runs in my family. I have a few uncles who can play and sing. My dad can play the guitar very well and he can sing to but he doesnt do it that much. So can my brother. and I am sure there is others that I am leaving out and I am sorry for that. So I hope that I will be good at the guitar. Even if it is just to play it around the house that is just fine with me.
This Christmas has been wonderful. Getting to spend it with my family is all that I really care about. I would have been happy just to spend today with them.  Mike and I went over the weekend down to Fort Morgan beach to spend sometime with his sister and her family and we enjoyed lots. Getting to spend time with them was all we cared about but his sister had gotten us something. She got me some yarn and a hersey recipe tin and a mug with candy and hot chocolate in it and had made me a scarf. She gave Mike a pretty candle holder that is Army and a sign that is Army. We was not expecting to get anything and would have been fine with just spending time with them. As this time of year is not about what you are getting it is about spending time with family and the ones you love.
Just so my family knows if you ever do want to give me anything (oh and my friends to) I would treasure homemade gifts no matter what you make it will be treasured. I think the homemade gifts are the best gift that anyone can give.

Why are there no lights

Why are there no Christmas Lights? My husband (Mike and I ) carried our pups to look at Christmas Lights and there was probably only a handful of houses with Christmas Lights put up. I just dont get it. I know right now we may not have many lights up ourselves but we do have some. Is people losing their Christmas spirit. I just want to understand. Yeah we could have paid about $5 to $10 to drive thru the park to look at lights but that just really doesnt feel the same to me. I always enjoyed just going around the neighborhood seeing what the neighbors did for Christmas. Just looking at all the houses being so colorful this year just puts a smile on my face. It always has. You just dont find too many houses now days that is decorated for the holidays. I really miss that.
My home will always be decorated inside and out for the holidays even if it is just a string of lights going down my house and that is it. It will be decorated.
I would just like to know where the lights have gone.

Thanks Dads and grandpas

I just wanted to take the time to wish all the dads and grandpas out there a big Thanks. Maybe you are wondering why I am writing this well I am going to tell you why.
Why I am given Thanks to all the dads and grandpas out there is because I was watching tv yesterday and just about every commercial and every single one the kids in it was saying thanks mom or thanks grandma but what about the dads and grandpas. They work hard to help the moms and grandmas to get the those kids things to. Yes I know they are just commercials but still.  What about the single parents that is just dads out there. They work hard to give their kids things that they need or want just like the single moms out there. I just think that we need to give thanks for dads and grandpas and not just at father’s day. We need to do it all the time just like we do it to mom and grandmas.
SO BIG THANKS TO THE DADS AND GRANDPAS OUT THERE. AND A BIGGER THANKS TO MY DAD AND MY GRANDPAS. (EVEN THOUGH MY GRANDPAS ARE IN HEAVEN I KNOW THEY ARE STILL LOOKING OUT FOR ME. )
