as most of you know

As you all know that a week ago I had that shockwave blast kidney stone surgery (shock wave lithotripsy). Well I had my follow up appointment for that on Tuesday. I go into the doctor, the nurse carries me around to where they do the xrays and takes a xray then carries me to the exam room. The doctor comes in and goes well I was hoping that surgery would be it for you.
So yep I had to have another surgery (some of you may already know this because of being my family or very closes friends or just friends on facebook and plurk one) The doctor goes on to tell me that it did break up some but not like it usually does. He also told me that he usually dont have anyone come in as early as I for a follow up but when he did the surgery last friday he just couldnt really tell much so he wanted me to come in earlier and see. So after we talked about what was next to do I went and set up another surgery this time I had the same surgery I had three years ago with the last kidney stone surgery I had. Today’s surgery was laser lithothripsy (for those who do not know what that is. It is where they go up my urinary tract with a scope and locate the kidney stone and remove it with a basket thingy with a laser to it. At least that is how he explained to me. Let me tell this doctor was the best urologist I have seen and I have seen two. He took the time to explain it the way I could understand it and also listened to my concerns about things. ) It went pretty good. At least it went better then last weeks surgery where I had woke up throwing up and this time I did not.  I am still a hurting a little but not like I was. I think it is mostly like a uncomfortable hurting lol but I think that after thursday  I will be feeling better that is the day I go to have the stint removed.
Now to talk a little about the surgery. I had to be at hospital at 6 am this morning. We got there and I got signed in and I guess we may have waited like 30 minutes before the nurse came and got me to carry me to pre op to get ready. She was a very nice nurse. Very talkative and that is what I like someone who is going to talk to me that helps keeps the nerves down. She was trying to check my blood pressure and ask me questions to and we got disturb like three times. Then when that was done she picked up my chart off the bed and it started making this noise. We both just started laughing it was funny. (Oh I have to tell you this. You know how there is lines in woods that how most hospital room doors just been stained or something like that. Well the lines in the inside of the door to my room looked like angels, so I guess my two of my guardian angels was there today.) After laughing she finished up the questions. I think it was a little after 7 when the gas man (sorry but I dont know how to spell the right word for him so he is the gas man to me lol.) came in and talked to me. I told him how I got sick last week and he said we will get the patch and put it on you and every change things around a little, so glad that these doctors and nurses listened instead of talking over me like I have had them to do in the past. Then it wasnt really too long after the gas man left the room the my doctor came in and talked to me (yes Mike and Jelly Bean was in the room with me, everyone got going how cute she was)  then before he left the room he said that he one person in front of me but it was just a little surgery that it wouldnt take too long. Then Mike and Jelly Bean left the room and the nurse came in and gave me one of those I do not care shots and I slept on and off a little until they came and got me. They wheeled me in the surgery room and the gas man and nurse was getting tickle at me I think. As I was ready to get it started over with lol. Then the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. Then went back out to post op (which is the same area as pre op) and I had the same nurse I had last week in pre op and we talked as she was rolling me down stairs to get in the car to go home. I think I may have stayed in post op for maybe 30 to 40 minutes at the most. When I asked if I could go pee she came in and discharged me afterwards. She said she was waiting for me to say something lol. She got going on how Mike was a very good father and he is. He has taken very good care of me and Jelly Bean since all this started. There is not enough of words how grateful I am for him. But I do want to take a moment and thank him
Thank You So much for taken such great care of me and our daughter. I do not know what we would have done during this time with out you. I love you so much.
I also want to take the time say a thank big thank you to our niece Jessica. Thank you for helping us out this weekend while Uncle Mike works. We love you and even though I am laid up in bed this week we still going to have a good time. Love you.
Okay I think that with this being my second kidney stone in the past 3 years that I think it is time to find out why I keep getting them. Maybe what ever it is it will be something easy to prevent.
Oh yeah almost forgot. Last thursday when I went to the doctor I had weighed in at 200lbs (yep :/ I hit that weight mark again) I have lost back down to 193. Not the way I wanted to lose weight and I know I may gain a little of it back if not all but I am going to try my hardest not to.
