How the time flies

Oh how the times flies by. This time last year we was getting asked if we would adopt our beautiful Jelly Bean and we said yes of course lol. Now she is 5 months old and growing like a weed.  She weighs about 13lbs and is about 24 1/2 inches long. She has almost mastered the rolling over, not completely but she is getting there. She tries to get on her knees when you put her on your tummy for tummy time. She loves drinking for a sippy cup. ( Her favorite is sweet tea and before you say anything she doesnt get sweet tea all the time). She enjoys eating solid foods. I think sweet potatoes and peas are her favorites.
She will hold things in her hand and she also enjoys playing in her jumper bouncer like thingy. I have no idea what they are called. She can sit up by herself for a few seconds at a time. She also doesnt like to sit if you are holding her. She wants to stand up. She is eating anywhere from 6 to 8oz of milk each time she gets a bottle. She does eat about twice in baby food every other day. We feed her solids every other day to make sure she isnt going to have a reaction to any of it. But she will eat the whole jar of baby food. She makes the cutest noises when she is eating baby food. When she really loves one kind she will get louder. It is so cute.
She loves story time. We try to have a hour of story time a day. Right now we are reading a book called Santa and Pete. So far it has been a good story and she seems to enjoy it. She also tries read a long with you. You should hear it. She gets really loud at times and you have to stop reading until she quiets down lol.
She stills sleeps all night long. There is times she will wake up at 3 am wanting a bottle but she mostly wakes up at 6 am and gets a bottle and then she usually goes back to sleep and then get back up at 9am. She times though she will want to play. We usually let her lay between us and play while we get some more sleep. And yes before you ask she is in a safe stop and there is nothing she can get a hold of to get choked on in our bed.
She babbling more and more each day.
All three of us is looking forward Christmas Day.  Our first Christmas as a family of three. We may not have much but we have each other and that is what is going to make this Christmas special for us. Mike and I started this tradition when we first got married to open a gift each on Christmas Eve and we will continue this with Jelly Bean also. Mike will have to work Christmas Eve but that money or sometime before he goes to work we will be opening a gift. I cannot wait to see Jelly Bean with her gift from us. I also cannot wait to see her on Christmas Morning that is going to be a fun day for all of us.
I will try to update you all after Christmas how it all goes.
In the mean time Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas.
